Here at AzarÉl Greetings, we’re thrilled to introduce a collection of fall cards, now available online. There are three of our most popular cards, along with two brand new greeting cards. This series of five cards features real, unposed photos of the wild birds and critters who call our woodsy backyard home. Let’s just say a few hidden snacks are very motivational—because when you’re trying to capture the perfect shot, food speaks! Covering everything from cute and funny to heartfelt and thankful, these cards are a wonderful way to celebrate the season with a little help from our furry and feathered friends.
This adorable fall chippy has truly captured so many hearts! His journey to get to the top of the pumpkin was no small feat. You see, the pumpkin rests on a feeding platform about three feet above the floor of the deck. If you’re a chipmunk, that’s about five stories high. Out of sight, out of mind, right? To get our little friend to that beautiful pumpkin, my husband, Brian, built a skinny little ramp with notches to hold sunflower seeds. I then laid a Hansel-and-Gretel style trail of food up the ramp and to the back of the pumpkin. From there, the trail led up steps (small blocks of wood) to get him to the tip-top of the pumpkin. And there he is, the proud conqueror of Pumpkin Mountain, with his cheeks full and just one final seed to enjoy before the victory nap.

Always keep an eye on your nutty friends! Especially in the fall when squirrels are apt to kidnap them! It’s a great way to show you care and get a good laugh in the process. I’ve been thinking about how time-consuming it is for squirrels to transport acorns one at a time. Did you know a single gray squirrel can gather up to 10,000 nuts in a single fall? They’ll stash them in different places, like tree hollows or buried in the ground. This guy is over the moon excited about the efficiency of using a wagon. If you look carefully, you can see the pads of his paws thrown up in sheer amazement.

Say goodbye to boring cards for you children! My children laugh because they think nuts; I laugh because I know it’s hereditary! What a great laugh-delivery system! All families have some slightly eccentric habits:
Who can resist the little chipmunk? His cheek pouches can expand to about three times the size of his head and hold as many as twelve acorns. Think of all the trips he makes to store up to eight pounds of seeds and nuts. His cheeks are so sore from all that stretching, he’s very grateful for his little wheelbarrow.

This scarecrow is a terrible employee! He’s supposed to be scaring away birds, but he’s got a real friendship going with a little chicka-dee-dee-dee. He even offers him sunflower seeds right from his hand, the very thing he’s supposed to be protecting! It’s a sweet reminder that friends and family are some of our greatest blessings. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and forget to pause and be thankful. But when you really stop and look around, you see all of God’s gifts in the little things. It’s in the laughter of our family, the quiet strength of our friends, and the simple beauty of a sunrise. It’s not about having everything, but about being grateful for what we do have. When we live with a thankful heart, it just changes everything. We’re truly blessed to have all of these gifts from God, and it feels good to just sit with that gratitude for a while.
