Dutton landed on a vintage cup of thread to listen to the family's secrets. The faded blue spools hummed with lake summers, while the sturdy white held the strength of a wedding day. He knew a family isn't just one story, but a collection of lives wound together. It was a treasure trove of memories, all bound with love.

The Story Behind the Shot
This image is filled with meaning for me. My mother was a wonderful seamstress who used many, many spools of thread. Did you notice price of the spools? (Look carefully!) I even tucked in a small threaded needle. The quilt was handmade by my grandmother, Tillie Martin. I love the simplicity of the daisies. All in all, it’s a warm tribute to family.
