The sky turned gray and other birds fled to the thickets. Not Brolly. A bright yellow object caught his eye. It seemed benign. His feathers were "zipped up" and ready for the weather. He perched on top of the golden roof. Spit! Splot! Splatter! He settled in to enjoy the light spring rain.

The Story Behind the Shot
From a sunflower to the real deal! Before I had the "real" thing, I improvised with an upside-down sunflower for a photo titled "Rainy-Day 'Sun'-brella." The dream finally came to life when my step-daughter, Heather, gave me this tiny yellow umbrella for Christmas. Why did the bluebird perch on top of the umbrella? I have no idea! He certainly understood how to "dance in the rain" in his own way!
