Grow Your Knowledge: Expert Seminars and Workshops
A unique aspect of this show is their educational focus. Ten engaging seminars await you at this two-day event. Join a small group of people in a setting that fosters connection and conversation. Your questions are welcome! The 2025 show boasts a wealth of horticultural expertise, from university educators and certified professionals to dedicated master gardeners, naturalists, and birding specialists, ensuring a rich learning experience for all. It’s a great place to seek advice from seasoned Master Gardeners and a North American Bluebird Society representative. The experts are here to share their knowledge and passion for gardening. Just to tease your interest, here are two sessions on Saturday:
The full schedule is listed at the end of the article. Craft your perfect day: Attend the sessions that inspire you; and explore our unique vendors at your leisure.

Bring Home the Garden: Plants for Every Space
Shake off the winter blues and embrace the new gardening year at the Hagerstown Spring Garden Show, where plants of every kind await to inspire you! Looking to fill your flowerbeds with vibrant bedding plants? Or perhaps you’d like to add some structure with small shrubs like Pieris japonica? You’ll find them at this show. Want to cultivate an indoor oasis? There’s everything from Anthurium and African violets to classic spider plants. Bring the beauty of fresh blooms into your home with some cut flowers. One booth has charming small bonsai to add a touch of zen to your space. And don’t miss one of my personal favorites – a stand offering unique, one-of-a-kind planters artfully arranged in vintage containers. The combination is truly irresistible!

Discover Local Artistry: Handcrafted Goods and Vendors
Among the plants you’ll find a variety of handcrafted goods from vendors. They invest a lot of time and care to make their own products by hand.
AzarÉl Greetings
Discover woodland birds as you’ve never seen them before at the AzarEl Greetings booth! I create scenery featuring vintage memorabilia and plants for the birds to “play” in. A unique feeding platform setup creates a beautiful stage where birds pose for the camera while enjoying a tasty treat. It’s a win-win: the birds get a snack, and we get breathtaking images. Our photography is truly something special! This video shows how it’s done!
For the Birds
Treat your feathered friends while supporting Berkley, a Shippensburg student. For the Birds offers handcrafted birdseed wreaths and eggs made with all-natural ingredients. These unique, solid seed treats make wonderful gifts and will keep your backyard birds happy and healthy. Help Berkley graduate debt-free – shop For the Birds!

Choose from a wide array of fragrances and colors for the perfect pampering treat. Ask her about Gideon, the undersized newborn goat that she nurtured to health one year!

Little Sprouts: Fun for Kids and Families

Budding gardeners will blossom at the free children’s activity area! Designed for the youngest flower show guests, this interactive experience offers a chance to get hands dirty with planting projects, whether it’s tucking tiny seeds into soil or maybe creating a nature-inspired craft. Kids can also unleash their creativity with drawing activities. It’s the perfect place for kids to explore the wonders of spring and cultivate their own green thumbs.
Delicious Delights: Food and Refreshments

No visit to the show is complete without a stop at Balkan Traditions, where the aromas alone will transport you to Eastern Europe. My mouth waters just thinking about the succulent lamb gyro I treat myself to every year – it’s a must-have! Beyond the gyro, they offer a delicious Greek salad. Their homemade baklava is the perfect sweet reward. And if you’re lucky, you might have your lemonade served by this smiling little girl, making the refreshing drink taste even better!
