I can’t wait for you to experience all the color and beauty waiting for you! Come along with me today a check out a few of the sights and sounds!

It’s the first year for Metal Illusions at this garden show! Butcher is the visionary behind the metal garden art. He can truly “see things” in his head. The design process starts with a simple sketch pad where he turns doodles into reality.
With pieces ranging from small stakes to large sculptures, Metal Illusions has art to fit both your garden and your wallet. You can find small garden stakes featuring playful creatures like frogs, praying mantis, hearts, and mini-flowers ($6 – $25). Some feature solar lights for a stunning nighttime glow. In the video below, check out the metal flowers created from spoons, forks and knives!

Beth is the other half of Metal Illusions. Besides helping with the metal garden art, she runs Bootleg Betty (personalized keepsakes, gifts, and custom T’s). She’s also added 3-D printing to her repertoire, always aiming to make both the little kids and “big kids” laugh. You can see her on facebook here.

In addition to the shopping and displays, you can get hands-on at Front Porch Designs. Every day at 1 pm, join a workshop to learn paint techniques for concrete statuary. For just $25 per person, you can choose four small pieces to paint and take home from a massive selection of over 100 designs ranging from 2″ to 6″ in size. It’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, especially since all proceeds go directly to support the Mountain View Horse Rescue.

Mountainview Horse Rescue is a non-profit horse rescue dedicated to preventing the inhumane slaughter of abused, neglected, and unwanted horses. They provide a sanctuary for horses in their retirement.
Testimonial: “I got my pony from them. Lovely group of people that truly care about saving, healing and finding forever homes for horses, ponies, mules and donkeys.” Heather B
In Svetlana’s own words…
When I work with silver, I am reminded of that wonderful feeling I get when I first play in my garden in the Spring…
I begin a piece by just looking at the raw material before me and imagining how I can manipulate it. I think about things in nature that have recently delighted me and how to translate them into an adornment I would wear. Sometimes it’s an interesting leaf shape, tears of dew on the pine needles or a sweeping branch of a Japanese maple… Working feverishly, impatient to see the results, I am filled with a sense of amazement that I can do this with my own hands.
The jewelry I create has elegance, ingenuity, timelessness, whimsy and heart. I hope that to wear it is to feel the sense of imagination and pride with which it was created.

Don’t miss the chance to learn from the Bethlehem Garden Club during their featured presentations. Rosie Ebersole will be leading a hands-on session where she teaches you how to “Design with Nine.” Under her expert guidance, you are invited to create your very own beautiful floral display using nine fresh flowers.
Beyond this workshop, the stage will host a variety of other engaging presentations throughout the show. You can also stop by to chat with the Penn State Master Gardeners, who will be on hand to share their professional expertise and answer your toughest gardening questions.
You definitely won’t want to miss the Sterner Stems booth while you’re exploring the show. They offer a fantastic succulent bar where you can hand-pick your favorite tiny greens and browse through a variety of unique plant containers for sale. Their motto is “Plants make people happy,” and it truly shows in their work.
The best part is that they aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty planting your choices right there on the spot. Last year, I brought along a vintage sifter and had them pack it full of beautiful succulents to use in my photography. After the photo shoots were finished, I simply transplanted them into a more practical container to keep them thriving. Whether you buy one of their pots or bring your own treasure, you’ll leave with a smile and a new plant friend!

No visit to the show is complete without stopping by to meet the adorable animals waiting to greet you. You’ll have the wonderful opportunity to snuggle the friendly goats from Steinmetz Family Farm and even pet the famous “mini moos” brought by Horns and Hooves. (Check out this video of unloading the little moos!) These charming animals are a huge hit with both kids and adults, offering a perfect break from your walk through the floral displays. It is a heartwarming experience that brings the joy of the farm right into the heart of the garden show. Be sure to have your camera ready, as these fuzzy friends are always ready for a close-up. They are a big part of what makes this event such a fun, family-friendly tradition every year.
And of course, there’s us—AzarÉl Greetings! We specialize in a unique niche where wild birds and backyard critters “play” in scenes featuring vintage memorabilia and foraged finds. You might see a chickadee perched on a teacup or a chipmunk with a peanutty smile. There’s no AI and no photo compilations here. These shots are the result of secret snacks and a whole lot of patience; it often takes several hours and a couple hundred photos to get just one single image that we use.
Every piece starts as a real photograph taken in our woodsy Lancaster County backyard. Visit our booth and discover a wide variety of ways to bring these moments home, including beautiful handmade greeting cards, giftable shelf sitters, matted photos, and giclée canvas prints. My husband, Brian, is an integral part of the process, expertly printing and hand-stretching each canvas. We also have a selection of gorgeous triptychs that make stunning focal points for any room in your home. We love traveling to shows because it gives us the chance to see the smiles our photography brings to your faces. Stop by our booth to find a “smile” you can take home!
The Lehigh Valley Flower and Garden Show is the perfect way to welcome the new season with the whole family. Located at 302 North 17th Street in Allentown, PA, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to bring the kids along, as they will love the hands-on activities and the chance to see the animals. We can’t wait to see you there for a weekend full of inspiration, creativity, and spring cheer!
