Brian and I (AzarÉl Greetings) are happy to be returning to the PA Herb and Garden Show this year! We’re eager for an indoor taste of spring. This year’s show is packed with inspiration! There are expert-led seminars, hands-on workshops, and a lush variety of live plants. You can also indulge in tasty treats and explore unique, handcrafted creations from about 70 talented vendors. We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends! I invite you to read on and plan your visit in advance.

Live Plant Line-up

I don’t know about you, but after months of staring at a stark landscape of winter brown and snowy white, I am so ready for spring. I’m looking forward to wandering through the live plant displays. Spring is the time when I just want to snatch up every plant in sight to bring some life back to my neck of the woods.

Triple Oaks Nursery and Herb Garden

Triple Oaks Nursery is a family-owned gem known for an enormous selection at their brick-and-mortar location. They have a section dedicated to native plants—specifically “powerhouse” varieties that support butterflies, honeybees, and other pollinators. One customer even noted that they carry “every conceivable herb.” Alongside a massive variety of perennials, there are rare, hard-to-find trees and shrubs you just won’t find at big-box stores.

With such a deep well of variety to pick from, I am truly looking forward to seeing which specific treasures they choose to bring to the show! Joe Kieffer from Triple Oaks is speaking on “How to Create a Garden for Pollinators.” He and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable, so don’t be shy about asking them questions when you stop by their display.

Millcreek Greenhouses

No spring garden is complete without the cheerful “wow” factor that Millcreek Greenhouses provides. They’re bringing hanging baskets and vibrant annuals—perfect for adding immediate color to the porch or patio. There’s also a selection of herbs and perennials. It’s going to be impossible to leave empty-handed.

Tempt Your Tastebuds

Beyond the garden beds, the festival offers a delicious array of artisanal treats that capture the “handmade” spirit of the event. Hope’s Caramels provides a sweet highlight with their small-batch, melt-in-your-mouth caramels, while Cherish Creamery offers a savory contrast with their handcrafted goat and cow cheeses, ranging from creamy chevre to salty feta. For a taste of traditional Pennsylvania Dutch comfort, Esther’s Country Kitchen features rich chocolates and home-baked goods that feel like a warm hug. Cardamom & Curry (an authentic chai shop) and Hilltop Herbals have been known to offer a sipping selection of wellness-focused brews.

Handcrafted Creations

There’s a wonderful lineup of about 70 vendors this year at the York Expo Center! We’ll be visiting with some friends of ours who carry great products.

·  Castle Creek Farm: Lisa and Brad are bringing the best of their farm to the expo. Look for their herb plants, dried herbs, honey, and handmade soaps. Don’t forget to ask them about their upcoming Lavender-Thyme Festival at their beautiful farm! Brian and I look forward to it each year on Friday and Saturday of Father’s Day weekend.

·  Metal Illusions: Butcher and Beth are a constant source of innovation. They always have something new and creative to show off! Beth is holding a hummingbird plant stake. Look carefully at the wings. You can see the design of the handles on the silverware. Butcher also created a beautiful new butterfly. (You’ll have to visit the show to see that one!) In the background you can see their large plant stakes. It’s such fun to collect their garden art!

These vendors have really caught my eye. I’ve never seen them before.

Kim O’Hara Designs: This ceramic jewelry is stunning and perfect for any garden lover. Each piece feels like carrying a little bit of a garden walk with you.

Fencycle: I really hate throwing things away. Fencycle makes it their mission to reimagine and repurpose things. They get new life! This takes real creative talent.

Outhouse Storage and Structures: Aaah, yes! The name is definitely and attention-getter! As you may have guessed, this is an Amish business. They have sheds, pavilions, and gazebos. Their site also shows outdoor poly furniture (gliders, rockers, benches) as well as picnic tables and play sets for the family. They just might have something new for our “Welcome Deck”. Get your credit card ready, Brian!

Don’t miss AzarÉl Greetings, run by my husband Brian and me (Donna)! I build miniature scenes with vintage memorabilia and flowers. Using hidden snacks, I ‘invite’ the birds and critters into the frame. The results are jaw-droppingly beautiful and often hilarious. Stop by to browse our collection of handmade greeting cards, giftable shelf-sitters, and high-quality giclee canvas prints. We will be in a cozy 10’x10′ space for this show.
