– Surprising Encounters: Backyard Beauty by AzarÉl Greetings

At AzarÉl Greetings, we invite you into a world we’ve discovered right in our own backyard. I create little scenes for our backyard birds and critters. The scenes usually surround vintage memorabilia. Many bird-sized treasures are discovered in the antique shops in nearby Adamstown. Natural finds come from the woods around our home: moss, branches, and rocks. Some of the blooms come from our own flower beds. After creating the scene, I patiently wait for our backyard birds and other wildlife to “play” in them! It’s a unique approach to bird photography, and honestly, we’re still surprised by the moments we capture.

Our photography sessions often last for hours, and we take hundreds of photos to get just that one “blow-your-mind” shot. What motivates our feathered and furry friends to “pose”? Secret snacks! (Ssssh). The beauty of it is, it’s all real—our photography lives right on that edge where reality truly meets imagination.

Our unique photography is turned into handmade greeting cards and little photo block giftables. My husband, Brian, handles all the printing of our giclée canvas panels and triptychs. Bruce and his wife Jan invite you to stay in their lovely bed and breakfast in the heart of the PA Dutch Country. The Artist’s Inn & Gallery, built in 1848, is a Federal-style home nestled in a small town surrounded by Amish and Mennonite farms. Horse-drawn buggies regularly pass by the inn.
